Getting to the venue from the airport

The Baton Rouge (BTR) airport is the most convenient with a taxi for $25 from BTR to local hotels. The New Orleans Airport (MSY) can offer direct or cheaper flights but it is 1.5 hours away, and the shuttle (below) averages $140 each way so factor that in. We also give a public transport option for MSY-BTR below but it is not convenient. The primary routes to BTR itself are:
  • DFW-BTR (American Airlines)
  • HOU-BTR (United Airlines)
  • ATL-BTR (Delta Airlines)
If coming from the New Orleans International Airport (MSY), you can take a bus from New Orleans to Baton Rouge. The bus schedule is listed here. You will need to take a taxi, UBER, or Lyft from the airport to the bus terminal at 1001 Loyola Ave. Once in Baton Rouge, you will need to take another taxi, UBER, or Lyft to your hotel.

You can also take an airport shuttle from either MSY or BTR. The Tiger Airport Shuttle website has more information. This shuttle must be booked in advance.

Public Transportation in Baton Rouge

There is complimentary public transportation courtesy of Tiger Trails. You can view the route information here. There is also an app available for both Apple and Android devices here. If you are staying at Lod Cook Hotel, you will want to track routes "Gold", "Purple Route", and "Purple Union"; each of these routes stops on W Lakeshore Drive near Lod Cook. If you are staying in Staybridge Hotel, you will want to track routes "Tigerland A" and "Tigerland B"; each of these routes stops on Nicholson Drive, just outside Staybridge.
